Long before we knew sangria by this name, it was called sangaree, a wonderful wine cocktail with tasteful fruits and cinnamon. No-one ever questioned the Spanish origin of Sangria and its possible that its name comes from the Spanish word “sangre” which means “blood”, because of it’s perfect red color. We suggest an easy recipe, for you and your friends.
Ingredients
1,5 liter red wine (specific variety)
0,5 liter boiled wine (specific variety)
Fruits (our suggestion is 2 apples, 1 banana and 1 orange)
2 cinnamon sticks
Method
We chop the fruits in small cubes. We pour the wines in a jar. Then, we add the fruit cubes in the jar and place it in the refrigerator for about 4 hours. We serve in wine glasses.
Cheers!
