Ayorgitiko of Nemea: a distinguished colored Greek variety!
Ayorgitiko is one of the most distinguished Greek grape varieties. It’s found in many regions of our country, in lands that cover up to 25.000 acres. According to the regulation 3800/81 of the European Union and after the last amendments of 2548/99, this variety is grown in the regions of Argolida, Arcadia, Attica, Viotia, Evia, Korinthia and Lakonia and, temporarily, in the regions of Etoloakarnania, Drama, Ilia, Larissa, Lasithi and Florina. In the region of Nemea, is grown in a land of 19.000 acres. The combination of the ecological environment of the area and the variety of Ayorgitiko gives a production of fine quality grapes, suitable for the production of high quality red wines.
