It’s grown in many Greek vineyards. Mostly in Peloponnese, Attica, Viotia, Evia and Thessaly. It’s a variety which gives many variations in the areas where is grown. So, we have many variations both in the shape and size of the grape, the thickness and the color, and in its characteristics (content in natural sugar, acid and aromatic particles. It’s a vivid and productive variety. The complete growth of the of the grapes in the Attica region takes place in the first fortnight of September. Roditis gives exquisite white and rose wines, characterized by their high content of alcohol (12,5-13 Vol°).
